Why I Built Repify Ai
For 15 years, I managed the sales and marketing teams at two large consumer packaged goods companies. I loved the work, I loved the people, but I always felt like we were fighting with one hand tied behind our backs.
In the early days, we couldn’t even imagine software that could streamline everything — so we relied on Excel, PowerPoint, and a patchwork of other tools. Over time, new platforms emerged, but instead of helping, they often created more complexity. We lost revenue not because of effort or talent, but because the tools we had were fragmented, and the team spent too much energy being human integrators between systems.
By the middle of 2022, it all came to a head. Running a regional brewery as president, I became deeply frustrated that nobody had wrapped all the core needs of a modern sales organization into one unified tool. I was watching my people grind through admin instead of being in front of buyers. I was watching reps wrestle with opaque compensation systems, creating distrust and turnover. I was watching managers burn out, spending their time on admin instead of coaching. I was watching marketing and sales operate in silos with no unified view of the customer.
And I felt it personally. When my team missed goals, I missed my goals. Even when we were growing, it wasn’t enough — the lack of alignment and efficiency meant the business was falling short of its potential.
It was exhausting to watch, and it was clear no off-the-shelf tool was solving it.
After we sold the brewery at the end of 2022, I started talking with colleagues. One conversation with a long-time colleague in Texas stuck with me. He said: “You guys had the best homemade solutions we’ve ever seen a small brewery build. If you could put that same effort into solving problems for companies like mine, I’d pay for it.”
That was the spark.
By early 2023, I knew the timing was right. The need was undeniable. And AI was finally becoming practical enough to solve the real-world problems sales teams face every day. Technology had matured, the market was hungry, and the frustration I had lived with for years was everywhere I looked.
That’s why I built Repify AI.
Repify is the tool I wish I had when I was running those teams. It’s built to give reps clarity on their goals and compensation, to give managers back their coaching time, to unify data so sales and marketing finally row in the same direction, and to eliminate the admin drag that steals selling time.
Repify AI exists to fix what’s broken in sales organizations.
